Our training centre also incorporates Hollywood Nails, the North-East training and distribution centre for Nail Systems International (NSI). Courses in Acrylic, Gel, & Nail Art are available.

Facial

This is an ideal salon treatment that will promote relaxation as well as maintaining a healthy complexion.

Skin cleansing and exfoliation to remove unwanted dead skin cells and brighten the skin before a deep, warm French facial massage, is followed by the application of an appropriate mask to complete a thoroughly enjoyable treatment.

Anatomy and physiology of the face, neck and shoulders, product knowledge and health and safety legislation are an integral part of this course.

Make - up

will create a professional make-up application to compliment your client‘s everyday life and personality for day, evening and for special occasions.

Your training will include multi-cultural and ethnic skin types, conditions and tones as well as corrective make-up.

Anatomy and physiology, product knowledge and health and safety legislation form the basis of this very creative course.

Manicure & Pedicure

This course is very popular and will help to increase income for people within the industry and those who wish to work from home.

The tutor will guide you through the practical aspects of the course as well as the theory, including the anatomy and physiology of the hands and feet, product knowledge and health and safety legislation.

To ensure complete luxury, a massage for each area is also inclusive in the treatments, as well as alternatives of paraffin wax, warm oil and heat inducing mittens and booties, making this a wonderful experience and one which your clients will appreciate.

Swedish and Indian Head Massage Courses

This course involves four different massage mediums and infra-red, audio-sonic and gyratory equipment.

Our fully qualified massage therapists with over 20 yrs experience will guide you through this touch therapy enabling you to relieve muscle tension and promote relaxation.
One to one training and assessment of this student on a practical level is included, as well as Anatomy & physiology to SVQ level III, health & safety legislation and client analysis.

Tinting & Shaping Brows and Lashes

These treatments offer immediate transformation of the eye and brow areas, improving definition and appearance in a short period of time.

Your clients will be delighted by the immediate transformation and the therapist will benefit by an increased income through the promotion of these relatively low costing treatments.

Nouveau Lashes

Waxing

The essential salon treatment, ideal for those wishing to earn some extra income.

Includes knowledge of skin and the hair growth, sanitation, and the removal / lightening of unwanted hair.

You will cover the following body parts; legs, forearms, eyebrows, face, bikini and underarm using warm wax and strip sugaring techniques.

By completion of this course your work methods should be safe, hygienic and you will be competent to remove unwanted hair in a manner which minimises discomfort to your client.

This unit requires you to show that you can work with others at all levels and being able to assist colleagues at the right time and in the appropriate manner. It also requires you to evaluate and review your own performance.

Promote Additional Products or Services to Clients

A positive personal image is the key to success in the beauty industry.

Maintaining high standards of personal presentation and behaviour is what you will be taught in this unit.

How to meet clients needs, how to adapt to different methods of communication and being able to demonstrate the important skills of judging and responding to clients feelings.

Reception

The important skills of welcoming people and receiving telephone calls, handling enquiries, making appointments and dealing with client payments for treatments and products.

Dealing with members of the public in a polite manner whilst questioning them to find out what they require, forms an important part of this unit.

Health & Safety

This is a very short but important unit to learn. On completion of this unit you will have knowledge of all the up-to-date health and safety legislation which is required by law.

This will assist in running your own business and or working with clients.

You will know how to demonstrate a health & safety induction and be involved in fire, evacuation, accident and emergency procedures. Sterilisation, sanitation and hygiene are also included.
